Coach Burchill was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he competed in Football, Basketball, Track and Field, and Baseball at Sioux Falls Lincoln before graduating in 2014. While at Lincoln, Coach Burchill was the starting Quarterback for the Patriots from 2012-2013 season. During his senior season in 2013, Coach Burchill lead the Patriots to an undefeated season and won the state’s first AAA state football championship.

Following High School Coach Burchill went on to the University of South Dakota where he graduated with a Physical Education degree.

After graduating from USD he moved to Rapid City where he has been teaching at North Middle School (5 years) and coaching Basketball (5 years) and Football (4 years) at Rapid City Central.

Coach Burchill has been married to Merissa for 2 years and they are expecting their first son in May. Coach Burchill also has 3 Golden Retrievers: Benny, Berkley, and PorkChop.
