Coach Henderson was born and raised in Rapid City, SD and attended Saint Thomas More High School where he participated in football, soccer, basketball, baseball, and track. After being named the 2014 Rapid City Male High School Athlete of the Year, coach Henderson received a scholarship to play football at Chadron State College where he played for 5 years. 

After graduating with an elementary education degree and a special education endorsement, he took a job in North Platte, NE as an elementary special education teacher and coached at the high school. After 1 year he moved to Kearney, NE where he taught special education at the middle school level and coached at Kearney High School for 2 seasons. 

Henderson, and his fiancé moved back home to Rapid City in May of 2023 where they married in July of 2023. The Henderson’s are expecting their first child in June of 2024.

Coach Henderson is going into his 2nd season as an assistant football coach for the Cobbler
